Generally speaking, mud cleaner system is made up of QJ mud cleaner, Centrifugal sand pump for transporting the drilling solids and WestPetro linear motion shale shaker with its necessary part – steel frame shaker screen. In some situations, there will be a horizontal vacuum degasser to be used to cooperate out mud cleaner system.

How does the mud cleaner system work in our oil drilling fields?

We learned that mud cleaner is the main part for the oil drilling fields, and it is mainly used to separate the drilling mud and drilling sand. The following content will share the mud cleaner system’s working principles in the oil drilling fields.

Commonly, after the drilling solids have been drilled out, they could be putted into drilling mud tank or just lay out everywhere. In this situation, we will use centrifugal sand pump or screw pump to transport the drilling solids. Of course, we also need the shear pump to cut the drilling solids into small sizes so that they could be transported easily. After the drilling solids have been transported into the mud cleaner, then it’s the mud cleaner’s working time. Generally speaking, the drilling solids will go through the cyclone and separated by mud cleaner unit. After the step of cyclone, the solids will go through the steel frame shaker screen, with the different size of the shaker screen mesh; we will get the different solids with the help of shale shaker and shaker screen. After this step, we will transport the solids into the vacuum degasser to separate the gas to provide a safety working environment.
